Schneider Electric Modicon Quantum Ethernet I/O (QEIO) solution

The Modicon Quantum Ethernet I/O (QEIO) solution is designed to offer a flexible architectural design needed to safely optimise network processes, and supports both remote I/O and distributed I/O.

The solution is fully configurable with Schneider’s Unity Pro software, which allows for more simple addition of instruments due to the included support for FDT/DTM technology. Network design is also simplified, with optimally sized modular drops and six times more I/O capacity per I/O drop.

Bandwidth for the OPC server has been increased by up to 12 times. Dual ring architectures are also supported, providing minimal disruption in the event of a loss of connection to one of the devices. Scalable upgradability of the I/O architecture helps boost performance and maximise operational flexibility.
