Moxa PowerTrans PT-7528 28-port rackmount ethernet switch

Thursday, 12 July, 2012 | Supplied by: Madison Technologies

The Moxa PowerTrans PT-7528 is a 28-port rackmount switch with 24 fixed 10/100BaseTx RJ45 copper ports. With IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 certifications, modular design and high copper port density, the switch is suitable for station-level deployments in power substations.

To offer higher deployment flexibility, the PT-7528 works with PM-7500 series modules, which allow users to add up to four fibre ports that are dedicated to upstream or backbone connectivity, and are popular for bay-level communication. In addition, IEC 61850-3 and IEEE 1613 standards’ compliance combines with Layer 3 management, giving the PT-7528 the environmental endurance and network capabilities needed for power substation applications.

The PT-7528 features Moxa’s Turbo Ring and Turbo Chain (recovery time < 20 ms @ 250 switches), RSTP/STP and MSTP for network redundancy. It also supports priority-tagged frames to be received by specific IEDs. Isolated redundant power inputs are provided, with a universal 24/48 VDC or 110/220 VDC/VAC power supply range. The operating temperature range of the PT-7528 is -40 to 85°C.
