Moore Industries HIM HART loop interface and monitor
The HIM HART loop interface and monitor helps to unlock the full potential of new and in-place smart HART multivariable transmitters and valves by allowing trusted smart devices to be left in place, while still taking advantage of the additional information they can provide.
Using the HART digital data that ‘rides’ on the 4-20 mA current loop, the HIM breaks out additional analog signals proportional to a multivariable transmitter’s primary, second, third or fourth variables, or to user-selectable valve parameters such as stem position.
Dual alarm trip outputs can be individually configured to warn of high or low process conditions. They can also be set to alert the user if the monitored device or the HART monitor itself is in a fault condition. This includes use of the HART protocol’s status bits to indicate a smart transmitter cold start, a field device malfunction or that the primary variable analog output is fixed, saturated or out of limit.
