Industrial Power over Ethernet (PoE)

Increasing demands for Power over Ethernet (PoE) technology in industrial applications can now be met with a complete end-to-end solution from CrispTech. PoE technology lets you eliminate the need for power outlets when deploying ethernet-enabled devices. This means that VoIP phones, IP cameras and other similar devices can be connected to the network and powered by a single ethernet cable.

The Moxa EDS-P308 is an 8-port smart ethernet switch that features PoE on ports 1 to 4 and supplies up to 15.4 watts of power per port. By combining the network signal and device power in a single, twisted pair ethernet cable connection, EDS-P308 provides economical deployment, increases mobility and simplifies wiring for network connections.

In addition, a complementary PoE Splitter - the SPL-24 - is an IEEE802.3af-compliant PoE splitter that distributes power to non-PoE devices. Devices such as small PLCs and IO modules that have no ethernet capability can be powered directly from the PoE Splitter which takes power from the PoE lines. Up to 12.94 watts per device can be supported.

The EDS-P308 and SPL-24 simplify wiring in the field, and provide a more versatile environment for installing a wide range of ethernet and non-ethernet devices.
