IGS-3044GP managed redundant ring ethernet switch

Friday, 13 November, 2009 | Supplied by: ICP Electronics Australia Pty Ltd

The IGS-3044GP is a managed redundant ring ethernet switch with four 10/100/1000TX and four 1000BaseX SFP ports.

The switch is designed to protect mission-critical applications from network interruptions or temporary malfunctions with its ultra-fast recovery technology. It also supports common network management functions such as SNMP, RMON and port- and tag-based VLAN security.

The IGS-3044GP can be configured via a web browser or using a windows utility. Network administrators can send event notifications through Syslog, email, SNMP traps or relay output, as well as segment ports into different VLANs. Users can also filter multicast traffic using IGMP Snooping.

To enhance the security, port access can be limited to user-defined IP addresses. Network access is determined by QoS for traffic prioritisation.

The IGS-3044GP supports the DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) function, which can instantly monitor the voltage, current and temperature status. A redundant DC power input guarantees non-stop operation, the backup power input taking over immediately if the primary DC power input fails.
