The CME-822E is a fault-tolerant industrial 10-port SNMP-managed PoE switch that supports eight PSE-classified PoE injector ports. Dual SFP sockets are also provided, for installation of fast ethernet or gigabit mini-GBIC modules, and providing the flexibility to support multimode, singlemode or WDM fibre optic supporting various distances up to 120 km.

The CME-822E also provides a redundant self-recovery mechanism that operates in less than 10 ms on full load, and which allows for the establishment of a redundant ethernet network to build a backup ring topology.

It supplies 15.4 W of PoE power per port on full load, and incorporates broadcast storm protection. It also has a robust aluminium case complying to IP30 and can operate over an extended operating temperature range of -40 to 80°C. 48 VDC redundant power with polarity reverse protection is also supported and the unit can be Din rail or panel mounted.
