B&B Electronics UHR401 and UHR402 USB isolators

The UHR401 and UHR402 from B&B Electronics are single- and dual-port ruggedised USB isolators designed and tested to meet industrial EMC standards. The UHR series provides 4 kV isolation between upstream and downstream USB ports to protect expensive equipment from dangerous ground loops and voltage transients.

The EMC specifications allow the USB isolators to operate in unfriendly electrical environments that occur near variable-frequency drives, motor-control centres, welding, and other large electrical loads. They are also suitable for integration into medical applications that require 60601-1 certification.

Supplied with high-retention USB connectors that require up to 14.2 N to disconnect them, the UHR series will hold standard USB cables tight and secure making them suitable for high-vibration applications.

The isolators are powered from an external 10-30 VDC power supply unit and provide up to 500 mA of power to connected downstream USB devices.
