Amalgamated Instrument RM3 range of isolators/transmitters

The RM3 range of isolators offers isolation and scalable retransmission in a DIN rail mount, 2-wire, loop-powered enclosure.

Five models are available: the RM3-IV, with DC V or DC mA input to an isolated scalable 4-20 mA output; the RM3-RT, with Pt100 RTD temperature sensor to a scalable 4-20 mA output; the RM3-AV, providing AC voltage (0-250 VAC) to a scalable 4-20 mA output; the RM3-AI, giving AC current (0-5 A) to a scalable 4-20 mA output; and the RM3-SW, with a 3-wire slidewire (potentiometer) input to a scalable 4-20 mA output.

The compact design allows up to four channels to be housed in a standard DIN rail mount enclosure. Each channel is isolated from the others and offers internal 1 kV isolation between input and output. Simple but comprehensive zero and span controls are included for easy set-up.

These isolator/transmitters are suitable for use where different inputs need to be converted to a 4-20 mA analog signal. The RM3 units can also be used to supply multiple isolated signals to a number of analog channels - for example, the output from a single pressure transducer could be split into two isolated outputs to go to different BMS or PLC channels.

The RM3 output is 2-wire loop powered from an external DC supply or PLC. In applications where a DC supply is not available an optional 240 VAC or 110 VAC power supply is available.
