For fast, live connection between two Profinet networks, the HelmHolz PN/PN coupler provides a simple and uncomplicated connection.

With Profinet I/O devices on both Profinet network sides, received input data on one of the network sides is made available as output data to the other side. The I/O data transfer takes place without additional handling blocks.

The maximum size of the transmitted data is 1024 bytes. Up to 16 slots are available for I/O modules of 1 byte and up to 128 bytes.

A ‘data record transfer’ function allows large amounts of data with up to 4096 bytes can be exchanged between the machines using the FIFO principle. The data record transfer uses standard PLC handling blocks. The incorporation into the PLC engineering tool is made possible by a GSDML file.

For Profinet to Profibus connections, the Helmholz DP/PN Coupler allows data transfer between a Profibus master and a Profinet controller.

Both couplers function in ambient conditions from 0°C to 60°C, and have an IP20 protection rating, as well as CE and UL certifications.
