Unitronics Vision560 PLC

The Unitronics Vision560 PLC, provides 1,024 I/O options with data logging and built-in recipe capability.

The controller is capable of 24 auto-tuned PID loops to control temperature, level and pressure, while the 320 x 240 resolution colour touch screen displays data, colour trend graphs and alarm screens.

The memory holds 2 MB of application logic, plus 1 MB for fonts and 6 MB for images. Features include SD card memory storage for log, back up and cloning. The controller scans 1 K of a typical application in 9 µs, making it suitable for rapid-response applications such as packaging machines.

Communication options include TCP/IP ethernet, mobile and industrial protocols such as Modbus and CANopen. In addition, the controller can be programmed to communicate via almost any device-based protocol.

As with other members of the Vision series, the controller supports high-speed, digital, and analog I/Os, plus direct temperature measurement inputs via snap-in I/O. Unitronics’ complementary VisiLogic software provides one user-friendly environment for hardware configuration, modular Ladder application development and HMI design - including a colour library of industrial images.
