Piab’s BL30-4 suction cup is the smallest suction cup in the BL40-4 family of suction cups which are specially designed for bag handling. The BL30-4P is a suction cup which features long and flexible bellows and a long and thin lip, and is intended mainly for handling lightweight products where high application speed is required.

Top loading of bags and food can often be a challenge. Bag surfaces are often uneven and food products are in most cases porous or have rough surfaces. These characteristics cause dropped products and bad gripping conditions, even if the handled product is of light weight. The BL30-4 is designed specifically to meet these difficulties. The long bellow, the high-flow fitting and the thin and long lip make BL30-4 flexible and sealable, which ensures a secure grip.

The cup has a lip diameter of 30 mm, with a working area equal to the lip diameter. The specially designed fitting allows for the high flow needed for bag-handling applications. The wide temperature range (-60 to +200 °C) means cups can be placed where they are needed the most. The silicone material complies with FDA 21 CFR 177.2600.
