The OG-Cube photoelectric sensor from ifm efector offers reliable position detection in applications such as conveying, packaging, material handling and automotive manufacturing.
The OG-Cube’s robust metal housing withstands harsh industrial conditions. The sensor features metal M18 mounting threads that will not strip during mounting and its standard M12 connector resists high torquing, providing quick wiring.
Bright LEDs indicate operating status (power and output) making troubleshooting in applications fast and simple. A powerful visible red light source with a large spot diameter enables easy alignment for easy set-up.
The product family includes two models: a high-precision background suppression model and a long-range polarised retro-reflective model. High-precision background suppression technology eliminates the need for adjustments as target colours change. These background suppression models incorporate a sensing element that contains 63 diode receivers placed on an integrated circuit. The multiple receivers provide more information about the target and the background, offering improved feedback. Models are available with push-button set-up and an adjustable sensing range from 15 to 200 mm. Fixed range units offer a 100 mm sensing range or 200 mm sensing range.
The polarised retro-reflective model features an extended sensing range up to 4 m when paired with a 50 mm reflector. To avoid false triggers caused by reflections from shiny or highly reflective targets, the OG retro-reflective models contain a polarising filter to provide reliable position detection.
For quick installation, ifm has two bracket systems for the OG-Cube and reflectors with a full 360° adjustment.
