The Allen-Bradley LDC-Series and LDL-Series of linear servomotors are designed to provide machine builders with precise, reliable linear motion capabilities at a cost-effective pricepoint. With no ‘wear items’, such as bearings, gears and belts, that routinely need to be maintained or replaced, theses linear motors are claimed to feature improved reliability over other linear actuation methods.
The LDC-Series and LDL-Series motors provide high servo responsiveness, resulting in faster settling time for individual moves, and therefore increased machine throughput, improved precision and reduced production waste. Unlike pneumatic or hydraulic solutions, the Allen-Bradley linear motors have the flexibility to maintain quicker movement while handling multiple motion profiles to increase machine capabilities.
Motion Analyzer software from Rockwell Automation can be used to size and optimise the Allen-Bradley linear motors and corresponding servo drives, reducing product selection time and minimising cost. Full set-up and programming support through RSLogix 5000 software further helps to reduce set-up time, making commissioning faster and easier.
The LDC-Series and LDL-Series linear motors are suitable for a wide range of machine applications, including packaging, on-the-fly inspection, shape cutting, dispensing, materials handling, flat and solar panel scribing, and pick-and-place machines.
