igus drylin SLT-BB restricted space linear axis system

Wednesday, 05 February, 2014 | Supplied by: Treotham Automation Pty Ltd

The igus drylin SLT-BB linear axis system allows a minimum linear axis installation height of only 20 mm and an installation width of only 45 mm due to the lateral positioning of the spindle.

The compact design weighs only 0.15 kg with a manual or motor drive both being possible and, with a maximum rotational speed of 1000 rpm and a maximum linear speed of 1.5 m/min, movement can be fast as well as effortless and smooth.

The ball-bearing spindle is available with trapezoidal or steep thread and the bearing clearance can be adjusted seamlessly using the drylin T-miniature slide TWE-04-12.

The high-capacity, compact design size and lubricant-free operation of the system makes it suitable for automation applications in beverage and food machinery including vending machines.

Since all the bearing spots of the drylin products manage without lubricant and are characterised by outstanding wear resistance, they are suitable for use in many soiling-sensitive applications such as those found in the food industry.
