Hengstler AR 62/63 heavy-duty absolute encoder
The Hengstler AR 62/63 heavy-duty absolute encoder offers a rugged enclosure and generously dimensioned, rigid ball-bearings. It is designed to easily withstand high accelerations, extreme climatic fluctuations and even underwater operation. In this way, it is suitable for applications in wind farms, marine or utility vehicle applications, as well as for use in presses or wood and stone processing machinery: applications where high resistance to harsh environments and maximum reliability are required at the same time.
The AR 62/63 offers single- and multiturn resolution up to 28 bits, and is contactless and battery-less. Available interfaces are SSI, BiSS, CANopen and analog (0-10 V or 4-20 mA). It can withstand 300 N axial and radial loads and has 200 g shock resistance and 20 g vibration resistance.
With a protection class up to IP69K, it is submersible and has a wide operating temperature range of -40 to +100°C. A stainless steel housing is available as an option.
