The LM 1247 series linear DC servomotor by Faulhaber, with dimensions as small as 12.5 x 47 mm and a weight of merely 56 g, can produce a peak force of up to 9.4 N at full power. The standard product has a stroke length of 20 mm and is optionally available up to 80 mm.
The linear DC servomotor consists of a non-magnetic metal alloy casing (stator) with built-in coil and analog Hall sensors. The sliding part moving concentrically inside the stator is a precision metal cylinder filled with permanent magnets.
Control is achieved with the MCLM 3003/06 series motion controller, also available with a CAN interface. The controller is user friendly using the Motion Manager freeware.
