The OD Value series displacement sensors offer four different measurement ranges from 26-34 mm to 60-180 mm and resolutions between 2 and 30 µm. The devices are capable of precisely measuring the position of bright, dark or highly reflective objects.

They are used in the electronics, robotics, automotive and packaging industry. Most often they monitor the position of objects, and measure profiles, diameters or thicknesses. On irregular surfaces the smallest deviation or notch can be detected.

Four different interfaces are available for integrating OD Value distance sensors, which require no supplementary evaluation unit. In addition to the RS422 option with a switching output, there is a model with two switching outputs, as well as variants with an analog current or voltage output (4-20 mA or 0-10 V) and two switching outputs available.

Its enclosure rating of IP67 allows the OD Value to be used in harsh operating conditions, making it also suitable for the packaging, paper and timber industries, in addition to its traditional applications in the automotive electronics and robotics market.
