The Unitronics’ Jazz is a PLC that includes onboard I/Os plus a full-function operator panel with numeric keypad. It enables users to replace ‘smart relays’ with a smarter, more powerful device, while keeping the same low budget.
The Jazz PLC’s capabilities include 24 K (virtual) of ladder programming and functions such as maths, store/load, compare, interrupt and loops.
The Jazz’s HMI provides 60 user-designed screens, an alphanumeric keypad and a multi-lingual display. The HMI helps boost productivity by displaying operating instructions, system-fault messages and conditional data.
Jazz features a variety of communication options, including SMS messaging, remote access utilities and PC access via Modbus or OPC/DDE servers.
The Jazz is suitable for many tasks from simple electric boards to complex production lines. Its high-speed inputs, combined with remote communication options, make it suitable for water and agriculture applications. Industrial lighting, automatic barriers/doors and air conditioning can also be easily and economically controlled by the Jazz.
