Brushless DC servomotors

The elctromechanically commutated Smartshell DC micromotors from Faulhaber are made with an all-in-one design concept — lamination stack, coil and PCB combined in a single-moulded injection — which provides the motors with a robust housing. The rotor consists of a permanent NdFeB magnet fitted onto a through shaft supported by preloaded ball bearings.

The motors are available in different frame sizes and can optionally be fitted with different modules such as analog or digital Hall sensors. The phase commutation sequence of the motor is made electronically via an external servo amplifier.

A wide choice of precision gearheads allows the rotation speed to be adapted to suit the application while also increasing the delivered torque.
