Brushless DC servomotor

The Faulhaber Series 2057 motor is fitted with a high-energy rare earth magnet which results in a very responsive mechanical time constant of only 8 ms. The skew winding in combination with the laminated stator also provides good heat dissipation and high overload capability.

These motors have a high power-to-volume ratio, providing a continuous output power of 62 W with an outside diameter of 20 mm and motor length of 57 mm. Over 16 mNm of continuous torque is available at speeds of up to 52,000 rpm. Standard operating temperature range is from -30 to +125°C.

Designed with pre-loaded high-performance ball bearings and electronic commutation, the motors achieve extremely long life since there are no mechanical brushes to wear out. Integrated digital or linear Hall sensors provide feedback to control electronics which allow true servo-motion velocity and position regulation.

The motor is optionally available with rear end shaft and in autoclavable version. Complementing the motor are planetary gearheads, high-resolution encoders, drive electronics and motion controllers with RS232 and CAN interface.

Due to their high performance and long life, these brushless motors are suitable for a variety of applications including medical devices, factory automation and robotics as well as aerospace and aviation.
