AMCI NR25 Ethernet/IP networked encoder
The AMCI NR25 is an Ethernet/IP networked encoder and is a heavy-duty solution for single-turn and multi-turn position applications.
The encoders are claimed to be designed for simple set-up and trouble-free performance. The networked encoders are compatible with all Allen-Bradley and Schneider PLCs and PACs that support EtherNet/IP and are programmable via Rockwell Automation’s RSLogix software or Schneider’s Unity Pro software.
The encoder also comes standard with Power over Ethernet, making it possible to install this encoder using a single ethernet cable.
The encoder is resolver based and supplies absolute position feedback without glass discs or LED components, enabling it to withstand high levels of shock and vibration. The IP67-rated housing protects against dust and water ingress.
Single-turn resolution is available up to 16 bit (65,536 counts), and multi-turn resolution up to 30 bit (65,536 counts by 16,384 revolutions). Resolution is programmable, as well as count direction, velocity format and position preset.
