ABB has announced that it has expanded its robotics service centre network in Australia. Fully trained service engineering support is now available for Adelaide based-customers from its facility located in Thebarton, South Australia.

Nicole Ebert, ABB Australia’s robotics service manager, commenting on the new service capability, said: “This expansion gives our Adelaide-based customers access to a more personal service and support for their robotic installations. We can now offer local support services to diagnose faults and quickly correct them and help companies optimise their installations for peak performance.

“This coupled with our remote service capability ensures customers have access to fully trained and experienced service engineers to help extend the mean time between failures, decrease the time to repair and lower the costs of ownership. Our remote service offering is an intelligence support product that allows long-distance monitoring of the condition of robot systems and automatically generates alarms to notify our service engineers when a problem arises.”

ABB’s Adelaide office also offers comprehensive process measurement field service support for its range of flow measurement products and is located at 41-43 Cawthorne Street, Thebarton. 24-hour, 365-day support is available by calling ABB’s Supportline 1800 222 435.
