igus drylin ZLW eco belt-drive axes

The drylin ZLW eco from igus is a range of lubrication-free and maintenance-free toothed belt drive axes that significantly reduce the costs of transport and handling tasks.

For light tasks mechanical engineers often need a linear guide that is simple and space-saving. The drylin eco is a ready-to-install entry-level guide, which makes simple positioning and adjustment tasks efficient and cost-effective. The carriage and shaft end supports are produced by injection moulding, which is more cost-effective in large series compared to the more time-consuming production of metal components by mechanical milling. Without compromising smooth running and durability compared to the standard series, users can simply install the eco axes and save time and money with the maintenance-free, dry-operating Tribo polymer bearings.

The entry-level drylin ZLW Eco comprises two installation sizes: 0630 and 1040. The basis is an anodised drylin W profile made of clear anodised aluminium. At the ends of the profile are plastic shaft end supports for drive technology. A neoprene toothed belt is tensioned between the shaft end supports, which advances and retracts a solid plastic carriage with a positioning accuracy of 0.3 mm. The stroke lengths can be individually determined by the user. Due to lightweight construction, the toothed belt axes weigh only 0.3 and 0.7 kg and can move loads up to 3 kg or 10 kg respectively. Matching motor kits are available as options.
