The R1000 distance sensor with pulse ranging technology (PRT) from Pepperl+Fuchs is designed to achieve millimetre-precise positioning over long distances, and is now available with a Profinet interface.

Designed to provide consistent accuracy of less than 1 mm across a measuring range of up to 300 m, the R1000 is suitable for high-precision industrial applications, from warehouse automation and crane systems to automated parking solutions. Its compact design, with a small housing depth of 81 mm, allows installation in confined spaces, while the robust metal frame assists with durability. Installation is quick and flexible due to integrated M6 threaded holes, versatile mounting accessories and a clearly visible red laser for easy alignment.

Pulse ranging technology aims to provide reliability and precision, even over long distances and in challenging conditions such as dust, dirt or bright ambient light.

Eye-safe class 1 laser emission, resistance to vibration and mechanical stress, and flexible mounting options — including long-range fine adjustments or 90° deflection — make the R1000 a versatile solution for dynamic, fast-paced industrial operations.
