Dimetex laser sensors for mining equipment

The displacement of large machines in surface mining requires a precisely planned approach. If a heavy, complex structure needs to be elevated, the lifting process must be controlled at all times. Dimetix laser distance sensors allow the position of the lifted plant to be measured permanently at different locations to ensure the structure always stays in an upright position.

The Dimetix laser sensors allow easy installation and configuration due to visible laser beam and included software. The sensors’ operating temperature range is -40 to +60°C, and they offer measuring ranges up to 100 m on natural surfaces and up to 500 m with reflective foil, with an accuracy of ±1 mm and repeatability of ±0.3 mm.

Dimetix sensors offer numerous additional features, including various interfaces like SSI, RS-422/485, RS-232 and two digital outputs. Industrial Ethernet interfaces Profinet, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT are also optionally available. All devices are IP65-protected and weigh less than 500 g.
