Danfoss has released a system for mounting its VLT Decentral FCD drive equipment directly on conveyors or machines. Mounting is now possible without using the present mounting 'ears' on top and bottom.
The system saves height and often also a mounting plate, which today is provided by the customer. These versions are available with service switch, display connector and a special six-way M2 sensor/actuator plug.
The M2 sensor/actuator plug can be used for low-cost I/O connections, making remote I/Os unnecessary. The M2 sensors are connected to the FCD's digital inputs and their status can be read via fieldbus.
This installation box is also equipped with an extra relay output, frequently required for example to control solenoid valves for belt lubrication on bottle conveyors.
