Treotham Automation twistable fibre bus cables

Friday, 17 September, 2010 | Supplied by: Treotham Automation Pty Ltd

Twistable fibre bus cables suitable for the most popular industrial bus systems (Profibus, CANbus, industrial ethernet) are now available from Treotham Automation. Torsion-resistant materials are used for the cable insulation, which is always extremely sensitive in such bus system cables. In addition, the cables are protected by damping elements and a matching PTFE gliding layer.

Incorporating a braided shield that has an optical coverage of 85%, the cables’ pressure-extruded outer jacket is highly abrasion-proof and oil resistant, and is made of a flame-resistant, halogen-free PUR mixture.

Starting with the shielded single-core cables already available, the company also supplies 3- and 4-core cables with cross-sections from 1.5 to 35 mm2.

The twistable PUR motor cables can also be supplied in either shielded or non-shielded versions.

With the shielded types, the use of high-grade PTFE gliding layers has been continued in order to provide a sturdy basis for the special torsion-resistant insulation. This allows for the most demanding of twisting applications.
