M9200 thermal imagers

Mikron Infrared has released the M9200 series of process thermal imagers. The imagers operate at short wavelength and are specifically designed for high temperature applications up to 3000 °C with an accuracy of ±0.5 of reading.

A number of lens options are available allowing a target size of less than 0.12 mm to be measured. The short wavelength operation is minimally effected by emissivity and allows sighting through quartz view ports. Ambient temperatures to 100 °C can be tolerated with the optional cooling.

Over 300,000 temperature points can be measured at 60 times/s with the shutterless camera operation.

The real-time gigabit ethernet interface allows remote operation over a local area network.

The MikroSpec software allows up to 32 'regions of interest' in one of 10 shapes to be configured and includes such features as real-time image temperature analysis and offline analysis, including data export to Excel and image sequences to .avi video files.

Applications include R&D, furnace operations and steel manufacturing.
