Siemens launches three-year extended warranty on selected products

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Siemens in Australia and New Zealand, Siemens has announced an extended three-year warranty on selected automation and drives products purchased in Australia and New Zealand.

“As we commemorate our 150th anniversary in the region, we are proud of the critical role our products, people and services have long played in key industries such as manufacturing, water supply, resources and energy,” said Blake Gordon, General Manager of Customer Services, Digital Industries for Siemens Australia and New Zealand. “This extended warranty program is a testament to our commitment to delivering products of the highest quality and reliability so we can continue to stand by you and your technology investments in the long term.”

The warranty covers selected products within the Siemens Simatic Factory Automation range, Sitrans Instruments range, Sinamics Low Voltage Drives and the Simotics Motion Control Motors range. These products are part of a broader range of solutions from Siemens aimed at digital transformation in the discrete manufacturing and process industries.

“This extended warranty program is about encouraging companies to invest in leading technology designed to accelerate outcomes for their business, for society and for the environment,” Gordon said.

Siemens said the program covers the majority of the Siemens Digital Industries product range; however, there are exceptions that apply where extended warranties are available at additional cost.

For a specific product list, readers should refer to the product description in the offer where the three years product Defects Liability Period is stated by Siemens Australia/New Zealand or one of its authorised resellers.
