SensoTherm CAPELLA C3 series portable pyrometers

W&B Instruments has announced the release of the CAPELLA series of portable pyrometers by German company SensoTherm.

The CAPELLA C3 series includes single- and 2-colour units with features that include through-the-lens sighting with adjustable focus, and a bright green laser targeting light with focusing up to 10 m distance.

Other features include integral data storage for up to 32,000 readings, USB PC connectivity, rugged cast aluminium housing with shock absorbing rubber bumpers and a fast response of <1 ms.

The 2-colour version is switchable between single- and 2-colour measurement. Single-colour versions offer a temperature range of 180–3300°C and the 2-colour versions 300–2500°C.

All units have an integral Li-ion rechargeable battery charged via the USB port with over eight hours of continuous operation. The pyrometers are supplied with a carry case and SensorTools software, which allows pyrometer configuration with advanced features not available on the device as well as file management and export of logged data.
