Serial communication products

If you need to add multiple high-speed serial ports to a PC, server, thin client, laptop, PDA or embedded system then Interworld Electronics will have a solution.

Add-in cards are available for PCI, Universal PCI, PC/104, PCI/104 and ISA buses. External connectivity solutions such as USB, ExpressCard and PCMCIA are suitable for adding serial ports to laptops and PDAs while ethernet serial device servers allow legacy serial equipment to be networked providing remote access to the devices from anywhere via LAN, Wireless Networks or WAN infrastructure.

Interworld’s range includes high-speed RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 serial products for both asynchronous and synchronous communications, intelligent multi-port cards with up to 32 ports, low-profile PCI boards compatible with 3.3 V and 5 V 32/64 bit slots, ethernet serial device servers with extremely low network latency and PCMCIA cards compatible with legacy DOS software applications.

The company's optical isolated and surge-protected products provide industrial-grade protection from transients and ground loops. The company also supplies a range of in-line RS-232 to RS-422/485 serial converters and isolators.
