Network power controller

IP POWER 9258 is a web controller which can be easily used to remotely control or query the power supply of equipment or computers via the network.

Not only can you control the power ON and OFF for lights, routers, network equipment and industrial machinery, IP Power can remotely start up any PC using the Wake on Lan (WoL) feature. Each independent outlet can be switched Power ON, OFF or Booted (OFF-delay-ON). Windows-based PCs can also be gracefully shut down using a Remote Shutdown command which ensures that all open files are saved and the operating system closes correctly. Password security ensures authorised use.

Users can do all of this from any computer connected to the internet or local area network using a standard web browser, no special software is required. It could even be operated from a WAP-enabled mobile phone or wireless PDA.

Also included at no charge is a Software Developers Kit for those that wish to customise the interface or incorporate it into SCADA systems or other applications.

Two units are currently available, either a four-port standalone model or a 19" Rack Mount model which controls eight power outlets. Power outlets use the standard IEC 320 connector and adapter cables are available if required.
