Allen-Bradley VersaView industrial computers

The Allen-Bradley range of VersaView industrial computers has been expanded with the addition of light industrial and heavy industrial range variants. The rugged and cost-effective family is designed to provide the open computing platform for Rockwell Automation’s integrated architecture-based applications.

The VersaView family now includes the light industrial range for moderate temperature, vibration and shock conditions — it can withstand up to 40°C operational temperature and 0.5 and 10 g operational vibration and shock respectively. Light industrial systems feature continuous-duty hard disk performance, dual shock-resistant drive bays for storage expansion and communications ports for additional touch screens via RS232 or USB connectivity. With multiple screen and mounting options, they offer the choice of a clean ‘desktop’ look. VersaView light industrial systems are suitable for applications such as control rooms and server environments.

The VersaView heavy industrial range has also been expanded, with the introduction of solid-state drive options for the harshest and most critical applications. Solid-state drive technology enables resilient 1.5 g operational vibration and 15 g operational shock ratings. Combined with the 50°C operational temperature rating of any heavy industrial range system, VersaView industrial computers with solid-state technology are suitable for industrial environments such as heavy automotive, mining or other plant-floor applications.

The VersaView industrial computer range also features Class 1 Division 2 certification, high-performance Pentium processors, continuous-duty hard disk performance, capacitive touch screen options and mission-critical solid-state drives.
