Advantech has released its IPC-7132 chassis, which supports both ATX/MicroATX motherboards and 10-slot PICMG 1.3 backplanes. The chassis is aimed at machine automation applications such as automated optical inspection (AOI), machine controllers and facility management, as well as factory automation and security surveillance.

The chassis is a cost-effective, wall-mount/desktop chassis designed for industrial environments. Standard 80-plus PS/2 300 W or 400 W power supplies can easily be installed in the chassis for greater power flexibility. The two USB ports on the front panel are designed for easy maintenance and direct data access via thumb drive. The rear I/O ports include four USBs, two DB-9s and one LPT, and are reserved for multifunction communication devices.
