Aaeon AEC-6915-B fanless industrial PC controller

The AEC-6915-B fanless industrial PC controller from Aaeon features a Dual Core Processor and four PCI expansion slots allowing users to expand the system to fulfil a diverse range of requirements. The AEC-6915-B has a space-saving vertical-mount configuration, making it suitable for wall or control panel mounting.

The AEC-6915-B is built around the Intel Core 2 Duo (T7200) 2 GHz processor and supports up to 2 GB of DDRII SODIMM memory. Its I/O includes four COM ports, four USB 2.0 ports, one gigabit LAN port, VGA and audio outputs. All I/O connectors are mounted on the same side of the chassis for easy access. An internal CompactFlash slot and 2.5″ SATA hard disk drive bay provide storage while a slimline DVD-ROM drive bay is available for program installation.

Aaeon’s heat spreading system and fanless design allows the AEC-6915-B to operate in ambient temperatures ranging from -15 to 55°C for a CompactFlash-based system and from -15 to 50°C for hard drive-based systems. The AEC-6915-B can also withstand vibrations up to 5g RMS at 5 Hz to 500Hz and shock up to 50g peak acceleration for a CompactFlash-based system.

Its 9-30 VDC power requirement gives the AEC-6915-B the flexibility to operate in a wide range of factory and vehicle environments. An optional external AC power adapter is also available.

The AEC-6915-B is designed for applications such as machine and factory automation, test and measurement, medical and patient monitoring, vehicle, mining and transport applications.
