Aaeon AEC-6845 embedded PC controller

Interworld has added the Aaeon AEC-6845 to its range of embedded PC controllers. The AEC-6800 Boxer Series are compact standalone high performance embedded PCs featuring fanless operation, robust construction, low power requirements, high vibration/shock protection, a wide operating temperature range and certificated embedded OS support.

Designed for embedded serial and digital control application, the AEC-6845 features eight serial ports comprising five RS-232 and three RS-232/422/485 multiprotocol ports, three USB 2.0 ports and six digital I/O ports.

The AEC-6845 is based on the Intel Celeron 650 MHz mobile processor and features 512 MB of DDR SODIMM SDRAM, VGA graphics, a 10/100 ethernet port, audio line in and out, and an externally accessible Compact Flash slot. It also includes an internal DC-to-DC converter allowing the unit to operate from a wide range 9 to 30 VDC supply. An optional external AC power pack is also available. If required, an optional hard disk mounting kit can be installed allowing a 2.5″ IDE hard drive to be fitted.
