Advantech UNO-2174A and UNO-2178A embedded automation computers

Advantech has launched two Intel Atom-based embedded automation computers: the UNO-2174A and the UNO-2178A. Both models feature low power consumption, dual core, 1.67 GHz, Atom CPUs and 2 GB DDR2 RAM. They are also Energy Star certified, IP40 anti-dust ingress rated and assessed to work in temperatures ranging from -10 to 70°C.

Both the UNO-2174A and 2178A come with 5.1-channel HD audio and four serial ports (two RS232/485 ports and two RS232/422/485). Additionally, two gigabit ethernet ports support a teaming function for networking backup while six USB 2.0 ports have been integrated to support an increased variety of peripherals. The UNO-2174A is also equipped with a printer port while the UNO-2178A supports an additional four RS232/485 serial ports via an additional cable.

In addition, the UNO-2174A and 2178A are designed with two full-sized Mini PCIe slots and one SIM card slot. Optional expansion capability includes Wi-Fi, 3G modules, additional I/O and fieldbus cards. The UNO-2174A and 2178A also support a number of embedded OSs, and the Advantech DiagAnywhere Agent is also available, allowing users to perform remote management.
