The PCM-9562 is an industrial-grade EBX CPU board with an Intel Atom N450/D510 processor. The D510 processor is the latest Intel Atom dual core CPU with a thermal design power rating of 15 W. This processor enables power reduction, smaller systems and performance improvements.

The PCM-9562 can support three Intel Gigabit LANs (third LAN optional) and LAN3 is designed with medical applications in mind, with UL60601/EN60601 medical certification. The Intel Giga LAN provides top performance and high compatibility for system integrators to deploy their network programs for different operating systems and applications.

The board also includes power off protection features. Power off protection prevents accidental contact with the power button that might turn off the equipment. A second watchdog timer offers more security for customers. For example, the first timer can monitor the system from bootup POST to OS launch to make sure the OS launches correctly. If something fails, the system can auto-reboot. After the OS successfully launches, the customer can program these two timers to monitor different application programs, or use one for the OS and another for applications.

The PCM-9562 can support HD audio, eight USB 2.0, six COM and LPT ports. The compact design is suitable for customers who are concerned about chassis space limitations. It provides an optional heat spreader thermal solution that makes it easier for customers to design their chassis with better thermal results.

The board can support Advantech SUSI API and Windows XP/XPe, Windows 7, Windows CE, QNX and Linux (by request).
