Pepperl+Fuchs’ VisuNet HMI systems are now available with optional integrated RFID readers. Designed to meet the demands of both GMP-regulated and hazardous areas, the VisuNet FLX and VisuNet GXP systems allow operators to log in quickly and reliably using their factory or employee ID cards, removing the need for traditional passwords.

The RFID-enabled HMIs support widely used standards such as Mifare and Legic, and are fully compatible with leading authentication platforms including PM-Logon from Siemens, LogOnPlus from Obion, and the Connected Worker Platform from Nymi. When higher levels of protection are required, the systems easily expand to two-factor or multi-factor authentication by combining RFID access with a PIN or biometric verification through devices such as the Nymi Band.

Integration with existing IT infrastructures is available through VisuNet RM Shell and VisuNet Control Center, enabling centralised management of user accounts, access rights and device configurations. With these capabilities, companies can enhance cybersecurity, streamline user authentication and ensure compliance with industry regulations while maintaining efficient, secure and traceable operations across their production environments.
