Pepperl+Fuchs now offers a tailored firmware solution for its VisuNet remote monitors and industrial box thin clients (BTCs), to help facilitate seamless integration into process automation environments. The latest VisuNet RM Shell firmware, based on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021, enables quick connectivity to process control and manufacturing execution systems (MES), providing operators with real-time access to critical data.

Pre-installed and preconfigured, it allows BTCs and remote monitors to be operational quickly. For Linux-based users, the VisuNet series is now available with preinstalled IGEL OS, offering secure, platform-independent access to virtual applications, desktops and cloud workspaces. This option enables easier integration into existing IGEL OS environments. Additionally, for Rockwell ThinManager users, Pepperl+Fuchs provides ThinManager Ready clients, preconfigured for direct connection to the ThinManager server for centrally managed deployment.

To simplify thin client management, the VisuNet Control Center allows administrators to remotely configure, update and support devices, minimising downtime and improving efficiency. IGEL OS users can also benefit from centralised control via the Universal Management Suite (UMS).
