Interworld Electronics has released the VT-879, a 12.1-inch industrial vehicle-mount panel PC engineered for mobile process control, material handling and real-time data access across factory and warehouse environments.

Specifically designed for mounting in a range of vehicles, including forklifts, pallet jacks, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and cranes, the VT-879 connects mobile plant equipment directly to factory automation and warehouse management systems. Powered by a 12th Gen Intel Core i5 10-core processor with up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM and 2 TB M.2 SSD storage, it is designed to execute complex control software and data acquisition tasks.

The 1000-nit high-brightness display features projected capacitive multi-touch technology, for clear visibility in outdoor or high-glare vehicle cabs. Integrated front numeric keys and six programmable function keys facilitate rapid operator input and system control during high-vibration equipment operations.

For peripheral integration with industrial instrumentation, sensors and hardware, the VT-879 features six USB 3.0 ports, one COM port and two GbE LAN ports. Wireless expansion options including Wi-Fi 7, 5G and GNSS provide continuous telemetry and asset tracking across large facilities.

Engineered for harsh industrial conditions, the fanless aluminium enclosure offers IP66 ingress protection and MIL-STD-810H shock and vibration resistance. A wide-range 8–36 VDC power input with ignition control protects electronics during vehicle start-up, while an operating temperature range of -30 to 60°C supports continuous operational uptime in harsh environments. Standard VESA mounting patterns provide versatile installation options across various machinery cabins.
