The APC-3249A is a widescreen full HD process control PC. The APC-3249A combines an Intel QM87 chipset motherboard and a 24″ 250 cd/m² TFT LCD in a fanless black steel enclosure measuring 628 mm(W) x 390 mm(H) x 95 mm(D).

The APC-3249A supports Intel i7/i5/i3 processors and is supplied with a Core i5-4402E 1.6 GHz and 4 GB of memory in its standard configuration. Up to 16 GB of 1600 MHz DDR3 SO-DIMM memory can be installed. Two internal 2.5″ hard drive bays and an mSATA slot are provided for storage. An optional slim DVD RW drive and external Compact Flash slot can also be installed. The sealed IP65 24″ LCD provides full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and includes a resistive touch screen. External I/O includes four USB 3.0 ports, three COM ports, two RJ45 LAN ports, an 8-pin digital I/O connector, VGA out and a DC power terminal block.

The APC-3249A requires a 12-19 VDC power source and is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50°C. The APC-3249A is said to provide a long-term reliable fanless computing solution for today’s graphic-intensive industrial process control applications.
