Advantech MIC-743 compact edge AI computer
Designed for safety-critical mobile and edge AI applications, the Advantech MIC-743 is a compact embedded computer also suitable for physical AI and humanoid robotics. The system architecture leverages Camera over Ethernet and high-throughput networking to help ensure ultra-low latency and efficient data processing.
Engineered for deployment in harsh edge environments, the MIC-743 offers an NVIDIA Jetson Thor module with 2070 FP4 TFLOPS AI performance, 128 GB LPDDR5X memory for running generative AI models like LLMs and vision transformers as well as 100 Gb QSFP28 and 5 Gb Ethernet LAN for high-bandwidth sensor input. It also offers a range of I/O with USB 3.2, HDMI, CAN, I2C, SIM and audio. Expansion ports include GMSL2, M.2 NVMe/Wi-Fi, SATA and TPM. The MIC-743 has a rugged design with an operating temperature range of -10 to 60°C, 3gRMS vibration and a wide-range 9–36 V power input.
Replacing an x86 processor with ARM means that the MIC-743 can deliver higher performance, lower power use and a smaller footprint.
