F1 Cooling Nozzle

Thursday, 02 April, 2009 | Supplied by: Spray Nozzle Engineering

Manufacturing processes such as milling, drilling, grinding and turning can generate unwanted heat, which can degrade both production and production tools. Silvent has developed the F1 Cooling Nozzle that is especially designed for spot cooling, while blowing away unwanted matter, dust etc.

The nozzle uses ‘frigus’ technology, making it possible to quickly and easily adjust both the air consumption and cold fraction required.

The simple control design allows the user to set air consumption in relation to the cooling required without affecting efficiency.

The unit conserves energy in a way that was not previously possible. It generates a low noise level and the design is compact and easy to install. A noise reduction of 72% and cost savings of 23% is claimed to be achieved through the usage of the F1 nozzle as compared to an unsilenced regular vortex tube.

Various accessories are available, including mounting onto a bendable FlexBlow hose that maintains it in a desired position and allows for quick and easy adjustment.
