Woodside and NERA named as principal sponsors for AOG 2018

Australia’s largest independent dedicated oil and gas company, Woodside Petroleum, and National Energy Resources Australia (NERA) have taken up the high-profile roles as Principal Sponsors of next year’s Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition & Conference (AOG 2018).

Woodside and the Australian Government-backed NERA will join the City of Perth and the Western Australian Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation as major supporters of the 37th staging of Australia’s largest oil and gas event.

NERA and Woodside have also committed to provide significant input into the content and organisation of the Industry Forums that will be back by popular demand at AOG 2018.

Woodside was a significant participant in the inaugural staging of the Collaboration, Subsea and Knowledge Forums at AOG 2017, with the company’s COO, Michael Utsler, commending the content and the whole event’s success in bringing industry together.

“I can genuinely say we are very impressed and pleased with the nature of this conference and the changes that have been implemented to try and provide an integration between the trades themselves and the suppliers who are providing service and how problems are being solved,” Utsler told media at AOG 2017.

“Clearly they have struck a very positive chord in what people are wanting to hear and to have an opportunity to hear, in how it was delivered,” he added.

AOG 2018 Event Director Bill Hare said it was very pleasing to have Woodside and NERA again show such strong support for the event.

“The backing we have received from industry and government has been tremendous and it is a testament to the standing and importance of AOG, which we are proud to note is one of the longest running oil and gas events in this region.”

The industry forums will be just one part of what will be a comprehensive AOG 2018 program. For more information, go to: https://aogexpo.com.au/.
