Two Pilbara manufacturers get a boost from WA Government
The Western Australian Government has awarded $846,700 to five regional projects in the Pilbara through Round 8 of the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program, of which two will support local manufacturing initiatives.
Among the grants, Port Hedland company Inline Engineering Services Pty Ltd has received funding to deliver an integrated polyurethane conveyor component processing and curing upgrade. The project will strengthen local manufacturing capability and support the delivery of specialised services to the Pilbara’s resources sector.
Meanwhile, East‑West Pilbara Rubber Recycling Pty Ltd will progress the development of a high‑value rubber export industry through end‑of‑life mining tyre recycling. This will help divert large volumes of rubber waste from landfill and create new value‑added manufacturing opportunities in the region.
“These RED Grants are supporting local businesses and organisations to diversify the economy, create employment opportunities and deliver long-term benefits for their communities,” said Regional Development Minister Stephen Dawson.
