Thermal dispersion flow switches distributor announced
Kayden Instruments has appointed Control Components as the exclusive Australian distributor for its range of Thermal Dispersion Technology products.
The most common application is to detect fluid flow in a pipeline; however, the same technology is applied to detect flow, level, interface and temperature with application to air, gases, water, liquids, hydrocarbons and slurries. Kayden’s flagship product is its Classic 800 Series. The switches use microprocessor-controlled electronics and include built-in self-diagnostics and RS485 communications capabilities.
The Classic 800 has a 4–20 mA output as standard, dual SPDT relay contacts and an adjustable bypass delay timer. The internal panel displays the status of process conditions.
The Kayden line of products is based on the thermal dispersion principle of operation. Though often referred to as a thermal dispersion flow switch, thermal flow switch, liquid flow switch or Modbus flow switch, Kayden products can also be used in level and interface applications.
Some level applications include tank high and low level alarms, wet/dry alarm and various other applications involving flow alarms. Another common application is interface control, especially those requiring an oil/water interface switch. The switches are also commonly used in pump protection, seal leak detection, and flow/no flow applications.
