Tech workshops and disruptive technology unlikely bedmates at ACI Connect conference

ACI Connect

Tuesday, 24 February, 2015

What lies ahead for the automation, control and instrumentation sector across a range of industry verticals as the onset of disruptive technology and always-connected smartphones make their impact? While it is vitally important to consider the ‘what if’, the reality of here and now needs to be addressed as well.

ACI Connect 2015 will deliver a well-researched, comprehensive coverage of both current and future challenges the sector faces, including Tech Minilabs (practical and educational) and keynotes from industry and tech leaders from IBM, Siemens and Aurecon on IoT, smart manufacturing, predictive asset optimisation and more.

The Future Networks Forum is a new feature of the ACI Connect conference program and will feature new FieldComm Group CEO Ted Masters. The new group, formed by a merger of Fieldbus Foundation and HART Communications Foundation earlier this year, will use this event to formally launch FCG in the region. The Forum will also include presentations from local industrial communications gurus Rafael Koenig, Steven Sischy and Daniel Hancock, and will conclude in a panel Q&A where conference delegates can have their say on the future of industrial networking.
