SMC signs RS Components as APAC distributor

SMC Pneumatics has signed RS Components as its distributor in the Asia-Pacific region, including South-East Asia.

RS Components will now offer 4600 SMC Pneumatics products across the region, with customers having instant access to SMC products through the RS Components eCommerce platform, where they can view product models in 3D and place orders. Customers can continue to place orders via phone or fax.

The SMC product range includes rotary actuators, fittings and tubing, control valves, pressure regulators, air cylinders, rodless cylinders, flow control equipment, blow guns, silencers and static electricity elimination equipment. These products are designed for various segments in the automation industry.

RS Components intends to increase the number of SMC products on its eCommerce website, hoping to offer the entire range in the next few years.

The extension of the companies’ partnership follows the signing of a global trading agreement in November 2011.
