SCS Filtration celebrates 20 years in business

Thursday, 07 January, 2010

Filtration distributor SCS Filtration is celebrating after 20 successful years in business. Established in 1990 by the company’s Director, Ross Cope, SCS Filtrations' core business was primarily pneumatic equipment sales and service combined with air purification products. In 1998, it became more focused on compressed air filtration products and began importing and distributing alternative filter elements and filter housings from various overseas manufacturing companies that, up until then, had no presence in Australia.

Its product range has grown considerably over recent years and the company now supplies a number of products, including condensate treatment products and drains, spin on separators, FRLs, safety valves and pressure gauges, throughout Australasia.

The philosophy of SCS is said to be simple, to be a responsive supplier of high-quality filtration products at reasonable prices and to deliver short lead times to meet customer demand.

The SCS Filtration website offers an online ordering system and serves as an information portal to keep customers aware of new product updates and to answer technical queries.

In 2007, SCS Filtration was purchased by Walker Filtration, a world leader within the filtration market. Operating from Perth for most of its history, SCS Filtration moved to a larger HQ in Melbourne in April 2008 to provide a more centralised service.
